Prefabricated Horizontal Drain (PHD) is a corrugated pipe which is wrapped by Non-woven Fabric. Its core is made of strong of PP or mixture of PP & PE.
PHD connects with Vertical Wick Drain to become a drainage system in vacuum condition, with the positive and negative pressure transformation which can rapidly facilitate the pore water discharge, so that the soil consolidation will be facilitated.
This method also is called vacuum preloading. Effectively and economically replace the horizontal layer of natural aggregates (sand and gravel) .
Through this method, it can save the construction period & construction cost of the project by making good use of the water gravity as the loading for facilitating the water drainage.
